Background
Rad GTPase는 small GTPase superfamily 중 RGK family에 속합니다.
Calmodulin과 GDP-form에서 우선적으로 결합하며, CAMKII와 상호작용하여 in vitro에서 RAD를 인산화할 수 있습니다.
주요 발현 조직은 골격근, 심근, 폐이며, 소량이 태반과 신장에서도 검출됩니다. 또한 지방 조직에서도 발현되며, 제2형 당뇨병 환자의 근육에서 과발현되는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
