Target Information
FACL6은 긴 사슬 지방산의 활성화에 관여하여 세포막 지질 합성과 β-산화 경로를 통한 분해에 모두 관여합니다. 특히 뇌의 지방산 대사에서 중요한 역할을 하며, 주로 적혈구 전구세포(망상적혈구, 태아 혈액세포, 조혈 줄기세포, 골수, 뇌)에서 발현됩니다.
초기 적혈구 발달 단계에서는 낮은 수준으로 발현되지만, 망상적혈구에서 매우 높게 발현됩니다.
이 단백질은 myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), acute eosinophilic leukemia (AEL) 등과 관련이 있으며, ETV6 및 ACSL6을 포함하는 염색체 전위 t(5;12)(q31;p13)이 특징적입니다.
