Product Specific Information
This 4NY8UN monoclonal antibody reacts with human CXCL10 (Interferon Inducible Protein-10, IP-10), a member of the CXC chemokine family. CXCL10 is secreted by monocytes, epithelial, and endothelial cells in response to IFN-γ and pro-inflammatory stimuli.
CXCL10 signals through the G protein-coupled receptor CXCR3, expressed on activated T cells, and plays an important role in T-cell migration during Th1 responses. It also inhibits angiogenesis and tumor growth and modulates adhesion molecule expression. Elevated CXCL10 levels are associated with allergic inflammation, infections, and Alzheimer’s disease.
A test is defined as the amount (µg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 µL. Cell number can range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test, determined empirically.
Target Information
IP-10 (interferon-gamma induced protein 10 kD; in mouse, cytokine responsive gene 2 or mob-1) belongs to the CXC chemokine superfamily. It stimulates monocyte, NK cell, and T-cell migration, regulates T-cell and progenitor maturation, modulates adhesion molecule expression, and inhibits angiogenesis. IP-10 and Mig share the same receptor, CXCR3.
