Target Information
IDO1는 heme을 포함하는 세포 내 효소로, tryptophan, serotonin, melatonin 등의 인돌 고리를 산화적으로 절단하여 kynurenine 계열 대사산물을 생성합니다.
IDO1은 다양한 인체 조직뿐 아니라 대식세포 및 수지상세포(DCs)에 널리 발현되며, 염증 시 interferon(IFN)에 의해 유도됩니다.
IDO1의 활성은 tryptophan 분해를 통해 바이러스, 세균, 기생충의 성장을 억제하며, 감염·임신·자가면역·이식·종양 등에서 면역조절에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
