Product Specific Information
Description:
The HIS40 monoclonal antibody reacts with the µ heavy chain of rat IgM. It does not react with other classes of rat immunoglobulin including IgD, IgG, or IgA. IgM is expressed intracellularly during early stages of B lymphopoiesis and on the surface of mature B cells in the bone marrow and periphery. Fluorochrome-conjugated HIS40 is used as a secondary detection reagent for rat IgM primary antibodies.

Flow cytometric analysis, immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry.
Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis as a second step to detect rat IgM primary antibodies. Recommended ≤ 0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell number may vary from 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Optimal titration is recommended for best performance.
