Acetyl-Coenzyme A acyltransferase 2는 acetyl-CoA C-acyltransferase 효소로, 미토콘드리아 지방산 β-산화 과정의 마지막 단계를 촉매합니다.
대부분의 미토콘드리아 매트릭스 단백질과 달리, 비절단형 아미노말단 타깃 신호(non-cleavable amino-terminal targeting signal)를 포함합니다.
