Target Information
VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor)는 45 kDa의 이황화 결합된 동종이합체 글라이코프로틴으로, 혈관신생(angiogenesis)에 관여하여 종양의 성장과 전이를 촉진합니다. VEGF는 혈관 내피세포의 생존, 유사분열, 화학주성 및 혈관 투과성을 조절합니다.
VEGF 패밀리에는 VEGF-A, VEGF-B, VEGF-C, VEGF-D, VEGF-E, PlGF가 포함되며, VEGF와 그 수용체 시스템은 혈관신생의 세포 신호 조절에 핵심적인 역할을 합니다.
VEGF는 FLT1(VEGFR-1) 및 FLK1/KDR(VEGFR-2) 수용체에 결합하며, 이들은 주로 내피세포에서 발현됩니다.
대체 스플라이싱으로 생성된 sFLT1은 VEGF를 높은 친화도로 결합하여 혈관신생을 억제하는 역할을 합니다.
