Aliquots of 5 µg, 10 µg, and 20 µg sizes are not recommended; use materials in original packaging until exhausted.
For larger sizes, aliquots may be prepared to reduce freeze/thaw cycles (do not prepare aliquots below 20 µL).

Target Information
The PKC family of serine/threonine kinases, including PRKCB1 (PKC beta I), is activated by intracellular signal transduction pathways.
In humans, at least 12 PKC isoforms have been identified, differing in structure, tissue distribution, localization, and substrate specificity.
PKC alpha, beta I, beta II, and gamma form the conventional family, which is Ca²⁺- and phospholipid-dependent.
PKC enzymes phosphorylate diverse protein targets and participate in numerous signaling pathways.
They serve as receptors for phorbol esters, known tumor promoters.
PRKCB1 plays roles in B cell activation, apoptosis induction, endothelial proliferation, intestinal sugar absorption, and neuronal regulation related to stress response.
Alternative splicing produces distinct isoforms.
