Target Information
CD45RB is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase of the CD45 glycoprotein family. CD45 plays a crucial role in lymphocyte development and antigen signaling, acting as a regulator of Src-family kinases. It promotes cell survival by modulating integrin-mediated signal transduction and participates in DNA fragmentation during apoptosis.
CD45 isoforms differ in extracellular domains but share identical transmembrane and cytoplasmic domains. Their expression depends on cell type and physiological state.
CD45RB is expressed in microglia and inflammatory cells, and CD45 is broadly expressed in the human hematopoietic lineage except for mature red cells.
