Target Information
ATG3 (APG3)는 APG8 지질화(APG8 lipidation)를 위한 결합 효소(conjugating enzyme)로, 자가포식(autophagy) 개시 단계에서 필수적인 역할을 합니다.
자가포식은 세포 단백질의 자가분해를 통해 세포 항상성을 유지하는 과정으로, 종양세포에서는 이 과정이 결함이 있을 수 있습니다.
ATG3는 Atg8-phosphatidylethanolamine (Atg8-PE) 결합 형성을 촉매하여 오토파고좀 형성 초기 단계에서 E2 유사 효소로 작용합니다.
이 과정은 TOR (Target of rapamycin)에 의해 음성 조절되며, 세포 내 영양분 보존과 세포질 구성 요소의 정상적인 회전에 관여합니다.
