This antibody recognizes the recombinant PP1 alpha, PP1 beta, PP1 gamma 1, and PP1 gamma 2 forms.
Target Information
This gene encodes a reticuloplasmin, a protein that resides in the lumen of the endoplasmic reticulum. The protein shows sequence similarity to the protein disulfide isomerase family but lacks the thioredoxin motif, indicating it does not function as a disulfide isomerase. It dimerizes and is thought to play a role in processing secretory proteins within the ER. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
