Target Information

mCherry is a fluorophore (fluorescent molecule) widely used in biotechnology as a tracer for fluid flow and as a molecular or cellular marker.
It is a monomeric fluorescent construct with absorption at 587 nm and emission at 610 nm.
mCherry is resistant to photobleaching, stable, and matures rapidly (t₀.₅ ≈ 15 minutes), allowing visualization shortly after translation.
