Target Information
RGS13은 포유류 RGS (Regulators of G protein-signaling) 유전자 패밀리 중 가장 작은 구성원으로, 효모 SST2 및 C. elegans egl-10 단백질과 구조적·기능적으로 유사합니다.
RGS 단백질은 GTPase-activating protein (GAP)으로 작용하여 G 단백질 매개 신호 전달 경로를 억제합니다.
RGS13은 인간 편도, 흉선, 폐, 림프절, 비장에서 주로 발현되며, Gαi, Gαq, Gαs 결합 신호를 조절합니다.
또한 Gαi 및 Gαo에 대한 GTPase-activating protein으로 작용하고, Gαi 또는 Gαq 수용체에 의해 유도된 MAPK 활성을 억제합니다.
인간 RGS13 유전자는 염색체 1q31.2에 위치합니다.
