Antibody detects endogenous levels of total hnRNP Q.

Target Information

Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein (hnRNP) implicated in mRNA processing mechanisms. Component of the CRD-mediated complex that promotes MYC mRNA stability. Isoforms 1, 2, and 3 associate with pre-mRNA, splicing intermediates, and mature mRNA-protein complexes. Isoform 1 binds to apoB mRNA AU-rich sequences and is part of the APOB mRNA editosome complex, possibly modulating posttranscriptional C-to-U RNA-editing of APOB mRNA by binding to A1CF, APOBEC1, or RNA itself. Involved in translationally coupled mRNA turnover and cytoplasmic mRNA decay. Isoform 3 may participate in vesicle-based mRNA transport via interaction with synaptotagmins. Also a component of the GAIT complex, mediating interferon-gamma-induced, transcript-selective translation inhibition during inflammation by binding to GAIT elements in 3'-UTRs of inflammatory mRNAs such as ceruloplasmin.
