Target Information

ZBTB20 (also known as dendritic cell-derived BTB/POZ zinc finger, DPZF) is a transcription factor containing an N-terminal BTB/POZ domain and a C-terminal DNA-binding zinc finger domain. The BTB/POZ domain (~120 aa) mediates association with other BTB/POZ domain-containing proteins.
This gene acts as a transcriptional repressor involved in neurogenesis, glucose homeostasis, and postnatal growth. Mutations are associated with Primrose syndrome and 3q13.31 microdeletion syndrome. Alternative splicing generates multiple isoforms.
