OPRD1 (Opioid Receptor Delta 1)은 불안, 우울, 통증 조절에 관여하는 수용체로, 기분 장애 및 약물 중독 치료의 유망한 타겟입니다. Delta 및 Kappa opioid receptor는 이합체를 형성하며 시너지 효과를 냅니다.
OPRD1은 주로 뇌에서 발현되며, cortex, caudate, hippocampus, nucleus accumbens, putamen에서 높은 발현이 보고되었습니다. cerebellum, hypothalamus, substantia nigra, thalamus에서는 낮은 발현을 보입니다.
Alzheimer’s 환자의 putamen과 amygdala, Parkinson’s 환자의 putamen에서 OPRD1 발현이 감소되어 있습니다.
