Target Information
Cdc73 is a tumor suppressor protein involved in transcriptional and post-transcriptional control pathways. It is a component of the PAF1 complex, a five-subunit protein complex (Paf1, Cdc73, Leo1, Rtf1, and Ctr9) associated with RNA polymerase II. The complex participates in transcription elongation and histone mark regulation linked to active transcription. Additionally, hPAF coordinates RNA quality control and may regulate cell cycle progression through cyclin D1/PRAD1 expression.
