Chromodomain Y (CDYL)은 주로 고환에서 발현되는 영장류 특이적 Y 염색체 유전자군으로, 불임과 관련이 있습니다. Y-연관 유전자는 고환 특이적이지만, 이 유전자의 상염색체형은 전신적으로 발현됩니다.
이 유전자군은 원래 mRNA의 역전사 전이로부터 유래했으며, 염색질 결합 및 유전자 억제에 관여하는 chromodomain과 히스톤 아세틸화에 관련된 촉매 도메인을 포함합니다.
여러 전사 변이체로부터 다양한 단백질이 생성됩니다.
