This antibody detects endogenous levels of total DUSP22 (also known as JSP1) protein.


Target Information

Mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinases are involved in cellular signal transduction pathways activated by various stimuli. Dual specificity phosphatases (DSPs), including DUSP22, are part of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family and selectively dephosphorylate phosphothreonine and phosphotyrosine residues within MAP kinases. DSP expression is induced by growth factors and cellular stress, serving as a negative regulator of MAPK/ERK, SAPK/JNK, and p38 pathways. DUSP22 specifically dephosphorylates ERK2 and JNK and shows highest expression in thymus, with detectable levels in monocytes and lymphocytes.
