Target Information
Human Rap1은 효모의 telomeric protein scRap1의 첫 번째 ortholog로 확인된 단백질로, 세 가지 보존된 서열 모티프를 공유합니다. HRap1은 TRF2에 의해 telomere로 유도되어 telomere 길이에 영향을 미치며, scRap1처럼 직접 telomere에 결합하지 않습니다.
hRap1 cDNA는 약 47 kDa의 분자량을 가진 399개의 아미노산으로 구성된 단백질을 암호화합니다. hRap1은 TRF1과 상호작용하지 않으며, TRF2는 telomere 길이 조절에 관여하는 보편적으로 발현되는 단백질입니다.
TRF2는 TTAGGG 반복 서열에 결합하여 인간 염색체의 모든 telomere에 위치하며, telomere 말단의 구조를 유지함으로써 염색체 말단을 보호합니다. TRF2의 변형 형태는 인간 세포의 노화 방지 및 일부 포유류 세포 유형에서 apoptosis 유도에 관여함이 보고되었습니다.
