Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
Seryl-tRNA synthetase (SerRS) catalyzes the attachment of serine to tRNA(Ser) in a two-step reaction:
- Serine is first activated by ATP to form Ser-AMP.
- The activated serine is transferred to the acceptor end of tRNA(Ser).
SerRS may also aminoacylate tRNA(Sec) with serine to form misacylated L-seryl-tRNA(Sec), which is further converted into selenocysteinyl-tRNA(Sec).
