Target Information
Ribosomes are organelles responsible for protein synthesis, composed of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit. These subunits include 4 RNA species and approximately 80 distinct proteins. The RPL19 gene encodes a ribosomal protein that is part of the 60S subunit and belongs to the L19E family. It is localized in the cytoplasm. Multiple processed pseudogenes of this gene are found throughout the genome.
