Target Information

Von Willebrand factor (vWF) is composed of self-aggregated glycoprotein subunits synthesized in endothelial cells and megakaryocytes. The monomeric vWF unit has a molecular mass of approximately 225 kDa. vWF binds to circulating factor VIIIc (antihemophilic factor), stabilizing it and playing a crucial role in normal primary hemostasis.
