Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature (RT).
- For formalin-fixed tissues, boil tissue sections in 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10–20 minutes, then cool at RT for 20 minutes.
Target Information
MUC1 (Mucin 1, Episialin, MAM-6, CA 15-3, PEM, EMA)는 대부분의 선세포 및 관상 상피세포, 일부 조혈세포 계통에서 발현되는 대형 세포막 점액당단백질입니다.
이 단백질은 프로테올리시스에 의해 생성된 여러 중간 형태를 거쳐 성숙하며, 다수의 O-결합 당사슬이 존재하여 높은 시알산화 수준을 보입니다.
MUC1은 고도로 다형성을 가지며, 각 대립유전자는 반복 서열 수(30~90개)가 달라 단백질의 분자량에 큰 차이를 유발합니다.
대부분의 분비 상피조직(유선 포함) 및 90% 이상 유방암과 전이암에서 풍부하게 발현됩니다.
MUC1 유전자는 7개의 엑손을 포함하며, 여러 가지 대체 스플라이싱 변형체를 생성합니다.
MUC1의 과발현, 비정상적인 세포내 위치 변화, 당화 양상의 변화는 여러 암종과 관련이 있습니다.
