- In direct ELISAs, less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse ADAM8, ADAM10, and ADAM15 is observed.

Target Information
This gene encodes a member of the ADAM (a disintegrin and metalloprotease domain) family. Members of this family are membrane-anchored proteins structurally related to snake venom disintegrins and are involved in various biological processes such as cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, fertilization, muscle development, and neurogenesis.
ADAM33 is a type I transmembrane protein implicated in asthma and bronchial hyperresponsiveness.
Alternative splicing results in two transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
