Target Information
cGAS (Cyclic GMP-AMP synthase)는 ATP와 GTP로부터 cyclic GMP-AMP (cGAMP)를 형성하는 nucleotidyltransferase로, 선천면역에서 핵심적인 역할을 수행합니다.
이 효소는 GpA 단계에서 2’,5’ phosphodiester 결합을 형성하고, ApG 단계에서 3’,5’ 결합을 형성하여 c[G(2’,5’)pA(3’,5’)p]를 생성합니다.
cGAS는 세포질 내 DNA를 직접 결합하여 cGAMP 합성을 유도하며, 이 2차 신호전달물질은 TMEM173/STING을 활성화시켜 type-I interferon 생성 반응을 유도합니다.
또한 세균 감염, 세포 스트레스, DNA 손상 및 세포 노화 조절과 같은 선천면역 감지 과정에 관여합니다.
