Target Information
ZPK is a member of the serine/threonine protein kinase family. This kinase contains a leucine-zipper domain and is predominantly expressed in neuronal cells. Its phosphorylation state in synaptic terminals is regulated by membrane depolarization via calcineurin. ZPK forms heterodimers with transcription factors such as CREB and MYC, playing a regulatory role in PKA or retinoic acid-induced neuronal differentiation.
