Target Information

Enfortumab vedotin is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) used in the treatment of advanced, treatment-resistant urothelial cancers. It consists of a fully human monoclonal antibody targeting Nectin-4 linked via a protease-cleavable linker to the cytotoxic agent monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE).
This ADC mechanism is similar to brentuximab vedotin, which targets CD-30 instead of Nectin-4.
Enfortumab vedotin was developed through collaboration between Astellas Pharma and Seattle Genetics, and was first approved in the United States in December 2019 under the brand name Padcev™.
