- Initially suggested to target SLC4A1 (kidney anion exchanger 1) to the plasma membrane, but later studies indicate no interaction and no effect on SLC4A1 trafficking (PubMed:15764369).
- Phosphorylated upon DNA damage, likely by ATM or ATR.
- Contains one FHA domain.
- Ubiquitously expressed across tissues.
- Subcellular localization: mainly nuclear, minor cytoplasmic presence.
