Target Information
STAT1 (signal transducers and activators of transcription 1)은 STAT 전사인자 패밀리의 구성원입니다.
STAT1은 interferon-alpha, interferon-gamma, EGF, PDGF, IL6 등에 의해 활성화될 수 있으며, 세포 성장, apoptosis, 면역 반응, 지질 대사에 관련된 여러 유전자의 발현을 조절합니다.
또한 STAT1은 다양한 세포 자극 및 병원체 노출에 따른 세포 생존성 조절에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
STAT1 유전자는 염색체 2번에 위치하며, cytokine, interferon, 성장인자 등의 신호에 반응하여 JAK tyrosine kinase에 의해 인산화되어 핵으로 이동 후 다양한 유전자 전사를 조절합니다.
STAT1, STAT3, STAT5a, STAT5b 등은 넓은 활성 프로파일을 가지며, IFN family(IFN-Alpha, IFN-Beta, IFN-gamma, IL-10), gp130 family(IL-6, IL-11, LIF, CNTF, G-CSF), receptor tyrosine kinases(EGF, PDGF, CSF-1) 등에 의해 활성화됩니다.
