Target Information
Alpha-2-adrenergic receptors (ADRA2A) are members of the G protein-coupled receptor superfamily, including three highly homologous subtypes: alpha2A, alpha2B, and alpha2C. ADRA2A mediates catecholamine-induced inhibition of adenylate cyclase via G protein action and plays a key role in regulating neurotransmitter release from sympathetic and central adrenergic neurons.
