Target Information
YTHDF1 specifically recognizes and binds N6-methyladenosine (m6A)-containing mRNAs, promoting mRNA translation efficiency. M6A modification affects mRNA splicing, processing, and stability.
YTHDF1 acts as a regulator of translation efficiency by facilitating ribosome loading and interacting with translation initiation factors eIF3. It plays roles in learning and memory formation, axon guidance, and antigen cross-presentation regulation in dendritic cells.
In tumorigenesis, negative regulation of antigen cross-presentation can limit anti-tumor responses.
