Target Information
Osteoprotegerin은 TNF-receptor superfamily에 속하는 단백질로, 골흡수의 음성 조절자로 작용하는 osteoblast 분비 decoy receptor입니다. 이 단백질은 ligand인 osteoprotegerin ligand와 결합하여, 골파괴세포(osteoclast) 발달의 주요 조절 인자로 작용합니다. 또한, 마우스 모델 연구에서는 림프절 형성과 혈관 석회화에도 관여함이 보고되었습니다. 대체 스플라이싱된 전사체 변형이 보고되었으나, 그 전체 길이는 확정되지 않았습니다.
