Target Information
PKM2 (Pyruvate Kinase M2) catalyzes the conversion of phosphoenolpyruvate to pyruvate and ATP. It interacts with thyroid hormone, mediating metabolic effects, and binds Opa protein involved in bacterial adherence and invasion of human cells. Three alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding two distinct isoforms have been reported.
