Target Information
The SEC24D protein is a member of the SEC24 subfamily of the SEC23/SEC24 family involved in vesicle trafficking. It shares similarity with the yeast Sec24p component of COPII, the coat protein complex responsible for vesicle budding from the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). This protein plays a role in vesicle shaping, cargo selection, and concentration.
