CHEK1 (CHK1)는 DNA 손상 시 복제 억제에 관여하는 세린/트레오닌 단백질 키나아제입니다.
CHK1은 DNA 손상 유도 체크포인트 네트워크의 핵심 매개체로, 유전적 안정성을 유지하는 데 중요한 역할을 합니다.
CHK1 억제 시 p53이 결핍된 암세포는 유사분열 파국과 세포사멸을 겪는 반면, 정상 세포는 G1기에 정지합니다.
따라서 CHK1은 DNA 손상 유발 약물의 효능을 강화할 수 있는 잠재적 항암 치료 타깃으로 간주됩니다.
