Target Information
The UPRT (Uracil phosphoribosyltransferase) gene encodes an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of uracil and 5-phosphoribosyl-1-R-diphosphate to uridine monophosphate (UMP). This reaction is essential in the pyrimidine salvage pathway, a key process in nucleotide metabolism.
