TCF4 (Transcription Factor 4)
TCF4 is a basic helix-turn-helix transcription factor that binds to the E-box motif (CANNTG), initially identified in immunoglobulin enhancers. It is predominantly expressed in pre-B cells but is also found in other tissues. Mutations in this gene are associated with Pitt-Hopkins syndrome.
