Product Specific Information
- Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration.
- For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below.
- Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
- Centrifuge if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
- Stable for several weeks at 4°C as undiluted liquid.

Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-goat serum, purified and partially purified Lactate Dehydrogenase (Rabbit Muscle).
BLAST analysis suggests cross-reactivity with muscle and heart isoforms (LDH-A and LDH-B) from most mammalian species.
Target Information
Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) is a key enzyme in glycolysis that converts pyruvate to lactate while interconverting NADH and NAD+.
In mammals, LDH is encoded by three genes:
- LDHA (M or muscle form)
- LDHB (H or heart form)
- LDHC (X or testis form)
Human LDHs share 84–89% sequence similarity and 69–75% amino acid identity.
There are five LDH isoenzymes based on the M/H chain ratio in the tetrameric structure.
LDHA expression is hypoxia-inducible and regulated by HIF1α, while LDHB is upregulated in many cancers.
Mutations in LDHA can cause Glycogen Storage Disease 11 (GSD11).
