MA5-15544 targets WNT1 in indirect ELISA, FACS, IF, IHC, and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human and Mouse samples.
The immunogen is a purified recombinant fragment of WNT1 expressed in E. coli.
MA5-15544 detects WNT1 with a predicted molecular weight of approximately 41 kDa.


Target Information

Wnt proteins are a family of secreted glycoproteins that activate signal transduction pathways to regulate tissue homeostasis, cell fate, proliferation, and self-renewal.
The canonical pathway is initiated upon Wnt binding to a Frizzled receptor and LRP5/LRP6 coreceptor, activating the beta-catenin cascade.
Non-canonical Wnt signals involve Frizzled and ROR2 receptors. Deregulation of these pathways can lead to cancer.

Human Wnt-1 is encoded as a 370 amino acid precursor, cleaved into a 343 amino acid (42 kDa) mature form. Mature human Wnt-1 shares ~99% sequence identity with mouse Wnt-1. Depending on tissue context, Wnt-1 activates canonical and non-canonical signaling pathways and is involved in embryonic development and carcinogenesis.
Wnt-1 signaling can also induce phosphorylation and degradation of c-Myb.
