Target Information
ERCC1 is a non-catalytic component of a structure-specific DNA repair endonuclease responsible for the 5′ incision during DNA repair. Together with SLX4, it participates in the first step of interstrand cross-link (ICL) repair and processing of anaphase bridge-generating DNA structures that may cause cytokinesis failure. ERCC1 is also required for homology-directed repair (HDR) of DNA double-strand breaks in conjunction with SLX4. (Uniprot)
