Target Information
Vestigial 단백질은 흉부 상상원반(thoracic imaginal disk) 세포가 날개와 균형추(halteres)를 형성할지를 결정하는 데 관여하며, 다른 핵 내 조절 단백질과 상호작용할 수 있습니다. Scalloped(sd)와 결합하여 전사 활성화 복합체를 형성하고, 날개 형성 관련 유전자 발현을 조절합니다. sd와 결합 시 sd의 DNA 결합 특이성을 변경하며, 날개 상상원반의 배쪽/등쪽 경계(D/V boundary)에서 세포 증식에 필수적입니다. 또한 E2f 활성화를 통해 날개 상상원반 내 세포 증식에 관여하며, Dhfr과의 상호작용을 통해 DNA 복제 관련 유전자 조절에 영향을 줄 수 있습니다.
