Target Information
RanBP2 interacts with the small GTP-binding protein Ran and forms a large multiprotein complex involved in biological processes such as:
- mRNA processing
- Nuclear transport
- Cell cycle control
- Postmitotic nuclear reassembly
The protein shows an apparent molecular mass of 360 kDa by western blotting.
It is involved in microtubule nucleation and control of cell growth by interacting with multiple protein factors.
