Target Information
CD200 is a type-1 membrane glycoprotein containing two immunoglobulin domains and belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is broadly distributed on cell surfaces and interacts with CD200R on myeloid cells to inhibit macrophage activation. Homologues of CD200 exist in herpesviruses and poxviruses. In mouse and rat, CD200 regulates myeloid cell activity and provides inhibitory signaling to macrophages. Multiple alternatively spliced variants exist, and CD200 dysfunction is associated with diseases such as Mantle Cell Lymphoma and Primary Hypertrophic Osteoarthropathy.
