For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Cystatin C is a member of the type 2 cystatin superfamily and a potent inhibitor of cysteine proteinases, including lysosomal cathepsins and pathogenic enzymes. This 13 kDa secreted protein is abundant in biological fluids and expressed by all nucleated human cells. Alterations in Cystatin C levels are associated with cardiovascular diseases such as atherosclerosis, amyloid angiopathy, and myocardial infarction. Due to its low molecular weight, Cystatin C also serves as a marker of renal failure.
