Target Information

Septin 2 is a filament-forming cytoskeletal GTPase required for normal actin cytoskeleton organization and epithelial cell polarity. It supports vesicle transport, regulates MAP4-tubulin interactions, and is essential for mitotic progression, spindle organization, and chromosome congression. Septin 2 also contributes to ciliogenesis and collective cell movement.
