SPTAN1 (spectrin alpha chain, non-erythrocytic 1)은 스펙트린 계열의 세포골격 단백질로, 세포막 안정화 및 세포 내 소기관의 조직화에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 알파 및 베타 다이머가 결합하여 테트라머를 형성하며, DNA 복구 및 세포주기 조절에도 관여합니다. SPTAN1 유전자의 돌연변이는 조기 영아기 간질성 뇌병증-5의 원인으로 알려져 있습니다. 대체 스플라이싱을 통해 여러 전사 변이체가 생성됩니다.
