Target Information
The human POLR3F is a component of RNA polymerase III, which transcribes essential small noncoding RNAs such as 5S rRNAs and tRNAs.
POLR3F is known to cluster near the nucleolus, potentially coordinating transcription with RNA polymerase I activity.
It has also been identified as an HIV dependency factor (HDF), indicating its potential as a drug target in HIV research.
At least two isoforms of POLR3F are known to exist.
