Target Information
TNF alpha (Tumor Necrosis Factor alpha)는 염증 반응을 조절하는 다기능성 사이토카인으로, TNFRSF1A/TNFR1 및 TNFRSF1B/TNFBR 수용체에 결합합니다. 주로 대식세포에서 분비되며 면역세포 조절, 세포 증식, 분화, 세포사멸, 지질 대사 및 응고 조절에 관여합니다.
TNF alpha는 비공유 결합된 다중체 형태로 존재하지만, 비환원 조건의 SDS-PAGE에서 약 17 kDa 단일 밴드로 나타납니다.
마우스 knockout 연구에서 TNF alpha의 신경 보호 기능이 제시되었으며, 종양 보유 마우스에 주사 시 종양 괴사를 유도하는 것으로 보고되었습니다. 또한 세균, 바이러스, 기생충 및 특정 진균 감염에 대한 면역 반응과 특정 종양의 괴사 유도에도 관여합니다.
TNF alpha는 interferon-gamma와 함께 작용하여 특정 변형 세포의 세포용해 또는 성장정지를 유도하며, 자가면역 질환, 인슐린 저항성, 암 등 다양한 질환과 관련이 있습니다.
