자가면역성 갑상선 질환(예: Hashimoto thyroiditis, Graves disease)에서 anti-hTG 항체가 발견되며, 특히 Hashimoto thyroiditis에서 가장 높은 수준으로 나타납니다. 또한, anti-hTG는 갑상선암의 특징적 표지로, 암 환자의 추적 관찰에 활용될 수 있습니다.
